New Delhi: Insta360 has just released a new render of the 360 X6, and it shows us a great look at the new design, specs, and price ahead of its official release. Based on the leaked images, Insta360 is also making a number of changes for its next 360-degree action cam.

As revealed in the leaked renders, the Insta360 X6 retains the same vertical design as the X series cameras, minus a few significant changes. There’s a slight bump on the body, possibly because it’ll accommodate a bigger battery and cooling. There also appear to be redesigned buttons and a new layout of the speaker, which makes the camera look neat and modern.

Finally upgrades from the inside look are likely to be the biggest. The Insta360 X6 is expected to have much the same capabilities for 8K 360 video shooting at up to 60fps as the Insta360 X5. It might also have bigger image sensors and yield superior image quality, low-light performance, and HDR recording. There are also reports of support for 10-bit color for the camera, to make it more attractive for its intended use as a tool for content creators.

There is also expected to be a boost for photography. It could take images of more than 100MP that would provide even better image processing and AI-based auto-stitching to achieve even sharper images and enhanced details. There are also rumored to be new AI tracking features and quicker processing in the upgrade package.

Leakage also indicates a larger battery, in this case between 2,600mAh and 3,000mAh, which should provide extended recording times, but it won’t significantly mean that the camera would be too large. The waterproofness and robust design should continue to be hallmark features of the X6, making it ideal for outdoor activities and action sports.

Still, the leaked orders indicate that the Insta360 X6 might go for a similar price of $599, which might make it slightly more expensive than its predecessor. Insta360 has not announced the information, but the camera is already FCC-certified in the United States, so it might be launched soon. All information and specifications must be considered as leaks so far until further notice.
