 NDA to Tejashwi

Patna: A day after the leader of opposition in the Bihar assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, alleged large-scale use of unfair means in the recently concluded assembly polls, the NDA on Sunday hit back at the RJD leader, saying that he was making wild allegations after losing the elections and should introspect instead.State JD(U) president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said Tejashwi was reacting out of shock. “Questioning the election results and looking at them with suspicion is a direct insult to the mandate,” Kushwaha said on Sunday. He added that instead of introspecting on his political failures and shortcomings, the RJD leader was making baseless allegations against the electoral processes.Rajya Sabha member and RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha said Tejashwi was talking nonsense out of frustration.

“Tejashwi has become a victim of frustration after the crushing defeat and hence is making absurd statements,” Kushwaha told the reporters on Sunday, suggesting the RJD leader visit villages and verify the facts. He said blaming the poll body and venting his ire over the EC would serve no purpose, adding that the RJD has lost ground in the state.Slamming the RJD leader for pointing fingers at the poll body, state BJP spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel said Tejashwi’s attempt to repeatedly make unverified and baseless allegations of “vote theft” demonstrates his political frustration and deep despair. “Questioning a constitutional body is merely an attempt by Tejashwi to divert attention from his own failures,” he said, suggesting the Yadav scion play the role of constructive opposition.
