The Industries Department will soon organise an investors’ meet in Kozhikode city to promote the business potential of the Advanced Technology Park at Ramanattukara and the Marine Park at Beypore, both under the control of the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra).

The proposal was made at a State-level meeting recently attended by Industries Minister P. Rajeeve and Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas in Thiruvananthapuram. Based on the decision taken at the meeting, Kinfra will be appointed as the nodal agency.

Officials said the investors’ meeting would highlight the value of various prime properties and facilities under Kinfra in a manner designed to attract new investments. They added that the government gave the green light for the proposal based on suggestions from prominent industrialists who had expressed willingness to collaborate with the initiative.

Development issues related to the Cheruvannur Steel Complex, Nallalam Industrial Estate, and the hi-tech bamboo flooring factory were also discussed at the Ministers’ meeting to explore viable solutions. Representatives of various labour unions and industrialists were present to deliberate on feasible action plans.
