Apple held its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 on Monday, where it introduced the iPadOS 26 and iOS 26 among other software updates. The new OS updates for iPad and iPhone are packed with several features including the Liquid Glass design language and improved Apple Intelligence features. However, not all existing Apple devices will receive these updates. Two iPhone and one iPad model will not support the iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 versions. We have also compiled a list of all the smartphones and tablets that are compatible with the new OS updates.
Apple's iOS 26, iPadOS 26 Are Compatible With These iPhone, iPad Models
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone XR and iPhone XS models will not receive the iOS 26 update. The Cupertino-based tech giant added that the iPadOS 26 update will not be supported on the 7th generation iPad (2019) version.
