iQoo 15 teased to launch in India next month: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, OriginOS and other expected features

iQoo is gearing up to expand its smartphone range in India with the launch of iQoo 15. The company has started teasing the upcoming phone that will succeed the iQoo 13. The iQoo 15 has already made its debut in China.

The smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and houses a 7,000mAh battery. While the company is yet to officially announce its launch date in India, an Amazon product page reveals that the iQoo 15 launch is slated for November.

iQoo 15 expected features in India

As revealed by the company, iQoo 15 will be equipped with OriginOS 6. The new user interface, already available in China, looks similar to Apple’s Liquid Glass design.

It features round app icons and widgets with smooth, curved edges. The system also brings upgrades like real-time blur effects, progressive blur, and stacked notifications.Another new addition is Atomic Island, inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island. It shows live alerts on the screen and lets users control functions like starting or stopping a stopwatch and managing music playback.Details about the iQOO 15’s hardware are still unknown, but more information is expected to be revealed as the launch date approaches later this month.

Some of the features may remain the same as the Chinese model. This may include a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There will be a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.The handset may be backed by a 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging.

iQoo 15 expected launch date in India

iQoo India CEO Nipun Marya has hinted at the launch date of the upcoming iQoo 15 through a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the post, Marya shared a short video featuring a spinning wheel showing shifting dates, while the month “11” clearly pointed to a November launch.The spin wheel briefly stopped at November 27, suggesting that this could be the likely launch date of the iQoo 15 in India. However, the company has not officially confirmed the date yet.
