Hours after a high-intensity explosion killed at least 12 people near Red Fort Metro station in Delhi on Monday evening (November 10), investigators zeroed in on a Pulwama resident, identified as Dr Umar Mohammad, who had been absconding since the arrest of two other Kashmiri doctors in connection with the recovery of 2,900kg of suspected ammonium nitrate in nearby Faridabad.

Citing CCTV footage, police said that Umar was driving the Hyundai i20 car involved in the blast. The investigators are now probing whether it was a suicide attack.
