In the post shared on Instagram, the Detroit Lions wrote, “Eminem and Paul Rosenberg to serve as executive producers of the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon.”The team added that both Detroit natives will help with choosing talent and shaping all parts of the halftime production through 2027 for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Classic presented by Ford.

This made it clear that Eminem’s job is behind the scenes, not on the stage. The Lions will host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, and the halftime show is still mostly under wraps. The team said Eminem is looking for local artists connected to Shady Records to bring Detroit culture to the field.

Paul Rosenberg, who is the president of Shady Records, said, “It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports.” He also promised “unforgettable shows” for fans watching at Ford Field and at home.Eminem’s role fits his long history with the team.
