Iconic actor Mohanlal is set to join forces once again with filmmaker Major Ravi, renowned for their gripping military narratives. Whispers of their reunion hint at an impressive cast featuring R. Sarath Kumar and Paresh Rawal, with filming expected to kick off soon
Mohanlal and filmmaker Major Ravi—the team behind military-themed blockbusters like 'Keerthi Chakra' (2006) and 'Kurukshetra' (2008)—are reportedly joining hands once again for a new action-packed film.
Although an official announcement is yet to be made, reports circulating online suggest that the collaboration is very much in motion.
Here's what we know about their collaboration
According to a post shared by the film update page Cine Loco on X (formerly Twitter), the film will be directed by Major Ravi and will feature an ensemble cast including Mohanlal, R. Sarath Kumar, and Paresh Rawal. The technical crew reportedly includes Thiru and Arjun Ravi as the Directors of Photography, Kecha Khampakdee handling the action choreography, and Don Max serving as the editor.

If reports are to be believed, the shoot is expected to kick off later this month.
We have bought the rights of the story from Ambika Nair - Says Major Ravi
Interestingly, this is not the first time talks of a new collaboration between the two have surfaced. Back in 2017, there were reports about a potential film based on writer Ambika Nair’s short story Qutb Minar. At the time, Major Ravi told ETimes, “We have bought the rights of the story from Ambika Nair and have had an initial discussion with Mohanlal as well.”
He added, “Mohanlal has read the story and was pleased with the role. However, he has told us that he wants to see the complete script by John Paul before he signs the movie. So, the plan now is to develop the story for the screen and begin shooting next year.”On the other hand, Mohanlal's previous outing was the heartwarming drama film 'Hridayapoorvam' which was directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The movie received decent reviews from the audiences.
