Kerala Blasters FC announced the signing of Amey Ranawade on a 5-year deal, tying him to the club until May 2030, on Monday.  The 27-year-old right-back makes the switch to KBFC from Odisha FC, where he concluded the 2024-25 ISL season on loan from Mumbai City FC.

“I’m proud and excited to join Kerala Blasters FC. I have always admired the passion surrounding this club, and I genuinely believe in the project being built here," the Mumbai-born Ranawade said after putting pen to paper.

“I express my gratitude to the management for their confidence in me. This is a big opportunity and responsibility to represent Kerala Blasters. I am fully committed to giving my best every single day to help the team succeed," he added.

KBFC Sporting Director Karolis Skinkis expressed his delight with the move stating, “I’m glad Amey made the decision to accept our offer. I see him as one of the best players in his position in the ISL, especially in attacking actions."

“We are looking forward to his contributions to Kerala Blasters. I hope he has a season that will help him break into the Indian national team," Skinkis added .

Ranawade came through the AIFF Elite Academy and made his ISL breakthrough with FC Goa before signing for Mumbai in 2020. He was part of the Islanders’ double-winning unit in 2020-21 and added another Shield in 2022–23.

Internationally, Ranawade represented India at the U-17 and U-19 levels, showcasing his potential at a young age. He is known for his tactical intelligence, ability to read the game, and willingness to support attacks without compromising defensive duties.

“Amey is a modern fullback who will definitely add value to how we want to play at Kerala Blasters Football Club," KBFC CEO Abhik Chatterjee said following the completion of the deal.

“He was always passionate about joining our project, and I am glad that he could be afforded the opportunity to contribute to what we want to achieve in the immediate future. Having known him, I am sure he will bring determination, hard work, and relentless energy to the pitch," he added.

Chennaiyin FC retained the services of Jiteshwor Singh as the Indian midfielder penned a three-year contract renewal that will keep him at the southern club until 2028.

The 23-year-old Jiteshwor, who joined the Marina Machans in 2022 after a breakout season with I-League team NEROCA FC, started the 2024-25 season on the sidelines but had returned to the starting side midway through the season.

“Chennaiyin is home to me, and I’m delighted to extend my journey here. This season, I had to work hard to earn my place back in the team, and I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me," Jiteshwor said after the confirmation of the agreement.

“I’m excited for what’s ahead and ready to give my all for the club next season," the Manipuri added.

“Jiteshwor signing his new deal is fantastic for the football club, fantastic for Jiteshwor, and everyone else involved," CFC head coach Owen Coyle said.

“We recognise what a talented player he is. This season has been a bit stop-start for him, but you can now see the impact he is making in the team, and he’s only going to get better," the Brit added.

“There’s been interest from lots of other clubs, but Jiteshwor himself showed his commitment to the club. He knows what we’re trying to build. As much as this has been a tough season, he knows exciting times are ahead and we’re delighted to get him on board for the long term," the coach concluded.
