The Israeli army said that Israel is reviewing the results of the US attack on Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facility at Fordo

The Israeli army said on Sunday that it has more targets in Iran and plans to continue its military operations, even after the United States carried out surprise airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites.

“We have other goals and we will continue to act until we attain them," Israeli army spokesman Effie Defrin said during a televised press conference.

Defrin also said that Israel is reviewing the results of the US attack on Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facility at Fordo, one of three sites reportedly hit in Sunday’s strikes. The others were Isfahan and Natanz.

“It’s too soon to determine whether Iran’s enriched uranium was destroyed or removed," Defrin said. “We are constantly checking the situation. It is too soon to determine. I suppose we will know later on."

The US bombing raid came after days of speculation over whether America would join its ally Israel’s ongoing war in Iran. Just last week, US President Donald Trump had said he would decide “within two weeks" whether to intervene in the war. On Sunday, Trump confirmed that US forces had struck three nuclear sites, calling the mission a “very successful attack".

Iran has accused the US of damaging efforts for peace by stepping into the conflict on Israel’s side.
