Iran and Israel traded missile attacks for the first time since a fragile truce was reached in April after the Israeli military struck Beirut’s southern suburbs on Sunday.

Israel reportedly struck energy infrastructure in Iran, marking a sharp escalation in regional tensions after the two sides exchanged direct attacks for the first time since a fragile ceasefire was reached two months ago.
The Fars news agency reports that the Karun Mahshahr Petrochemical Company in the Khuzestan Province was hit by strikes carried out by “the Zionist enemy, causing partial damage." Several petrochemical facilities in the same area were targeted by Israel in April.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military also confirmed that it had struck several targets at a petrochemical complex in Mahshahr. “A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force struck several targets at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, in southwestern Iran," the military said in a statement.
Iran Targets Israeli Air Bases
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said it struck two air bases in Israel as the situation spiralled out of control despite US President Donald Trump’s calls for restraint.
IRNA News Agency reported that the IRGC Aerospace Force launched Operation Victory (Nasr), striking vital installations at the strategic Nevatim and Tel Nof air bases, in retaliation for Israel’s missile attacks on multiple radar sites in three regions of the country.
The IRGC said Iran was “ready to carry out operations on all fronts, and planning for the response has been prepared based on various enemy scenarios"
