IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited’s dealership showroom and machine care facility at Atmakur, near Mangalagiri, on Wednesday.
It was established by Sri Dhanalakshmi Auto Agencies Pvt. Ltd. of the Lakshmi Group.
On the occasion, Mr. Lokesh said dealerships like the Tata Hitachi’s were as important as Google for generating employment, which was on top of the government’s agenda. He observed that for companies like Google to invest in Andhra Pradesh, an ecosystem was essential for construction. This was where excavators and bulldozers come in, and require service centres.
Mr. Lokesh said the Lakshmi Group was a highly dedicated organisation, and Andhra Pradesh was in need of more such companies to achieve the desired growth. He noted that Mangalagiri was progressing at a fast pace as the gateway to Amaravati.
Social infrastructure was being built for those working in Amaravati to live in Mangalagiri, which was being developed by the government on a war-footing, he said.
The Minister recalled that he came to Mangalagiri 21 days before the 2019 election, but could not fully understand the people’s problems for want of time. As a consequence, he said he lost by a slender margin of 5,300 votes. Over the following five years, Mr. Lokesh said he had endeared himself to the masses and won the election in 2024 with an impressive 91,000 majority. He had been focusing on the development of the town and the results could be seen, he said.
Mr. Lokesh said the government took numerous development initiatives, including housing plots, a 100-bed hospital, community buildings, underground drains, and drinking water supply. A gems and jewellery park was in the process of being established, he said.
He requested Tata Hitachi MD Sandeep Singh to continue supporting Andhra Pradesh and promised on behalf of the government to extend all cooperation.
Lakshmi Group chairman Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, MD K. Jayaram, executive director G. Bharat Bhushan, and director K. Venkata Sivarama Krishna were present.
