Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, 'Thamma', has hit the big screens and is receiving positive responses from audiences. In a recent media interaction Rashmika described her experience entering the horror universe of 'Thamma' as stepping into a completely new world.
Rashmika manifested 'Thamma'
She said in an interview with Pinkvilla,“It's a completely new world. It's got a lot of performance. As an actor, emotionally and physically, doing all the crazy things is another thing and I get to do it and I think I manifested 'Thamma' into her life.”The actor emphasized how the role allowed her to explore a different dimension of performance where there is a mix of horror, emotion, and physicality in ways she hadn’t experienced before.
Thrilling entry Into action
In another interview, Rashmika also spoke about how 'Thamma' marked her first venture into action-oriented roles, paving the way for her upcoming film 'Mysaa', an action-thriller set against a tribal backdrop. She shared,Rashmika said that she felt 'Thamma' was the first entrance for her into anything in an action space. "Before that, I had only been doing performances. Thamma is still at the entrance while I am filming a movie called Mysaa, which is physical, intense, and action-packed,” said the actressShe reflected on her love for the physical aspects of the role, saying that performing action sequences allowed her to experience an entire cinematic world in a new way.
Surrendering to the process
Rashmika Mandanna revealed that she had no prior reference for her character in Thamma and initially wasn’t even sure how to approach it. She described the role as a completely new space for her. She relied entirely on the guidance of her director and the support of her cast and crew.
