Pratik Gandhi, known for his versatile roles, is set to make a significant splash on the international scene this month. Three of his acclaimed projects will be showcased at prestigious film festivals across Canada and the United States, cementing his status as a leading talent in Indian cinema. Sharing his thoughts on this significant tour, Pratik expressed his enthusiasm for sharing his work with international audiences. “It’s an incredible honour to see my work travel across continents. Gandhi and Phule, as stories, are deeply rooted in our history and society, yet their themes connect universally.” Talking about his other film, Pratik shares, “Ghamasaan, on the other hand, takes us to the country's heartland with a tense rural thriller that focuses on the rise of a young nation still negotiating with its past.

I am truly excited to share these stories with audiences in Canada and the US, and to see how they resonate across cultures.” His journey begins at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 6, with the world premiere of Gandhi, a new biopic series from director Hansal Mehta. In the series, Pratik takes on the monumental role of Mahatma Gandhi. Adding to the buzz, his wife and fellow actor, Bhamini Oza Gandhi, will also be at the premiere.

She portrays Kasturba Gandhi in the series, bringing a genuine and intimate dynamic to their on-screen relationship. The couple's presence together on this global stage highlights the project’s authentic portrayal of the iconic pair. Following the TIFF premiere, Gandhi will travel to the India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) in Calgary. On September 14, his film Phule will be screened, in which he plays the role of social reformer Jyotirao Phule.

This role further demonstrates Gandhi’s ability to bring historical and socially relevant figures to life. Rounding out the tour, Gandhi will head to the United States for the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF). The political and philosophical drama Ghamaasan will be featured on September 20, a testament to the actor's range and his knack for portraying complex characters.
