It’s official: No fee hike for MBBS/BDS this year in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Medical education minister Sharan Prakash Patil confirmed that there will be no fee hike for medical and dental seats in the state this year.“Students are already under stress and anxiety due to the ongoing NEET controversy. We do not want to burden them any further. We categorically told the private college associations that there can be no hike this year,” he said at a press conference Friday.The state has the largest number of medical seats - 13,945 undergraduate and 7,727 postgraduate. Another 550 MBBS seats are expected this year.
