ITDA issues show-cause notice to teacher for forcing students to massage her legs

SRIKAKULAM:

Authorities of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA)-Sithampet, issued a show-cause notice to a woman teacher on Tuesday, after a video surfaced of her allegedly forcing schoolchildren to massage her legs during class hours at a tribal school in Bandapalli of Meliyaputti mandal, Srikakulam district.

The incident which took place a few days ago came to light when some students recorded the incident on their mobile phones and circulated the footage across social media platforms.

Following strong uproar from parents, students and tribal communities, ITDA Project Officer Pawar Swapnil Jagannath ordered a inquiry into the incident and issued a show-cause notice to the teacher.

Local tribal organisations have demanded her immediate suspension from service.
