On Thursday night, Milwaukee Brewers’ young pitcher Jacob Misiorowski had an exciting major league debut against the St. Louis Cardinals at American Family Field. The 23-year-old threw five innings without allowing a hit, struck out five and walked four but left the game early because of leg cramps.

Even though he couldn’t finish, the Brewers won 6-0, and Misiorowski’s strong start got everyone talking.

He started strong, throwing three super-fast pitches over 100 mph, which got the Cardinals’ batters off guard. According to MLB news from June 12, 2025, he threw 14 pitches at 100 mph or faster, with one reaching 102.2 mph, the fastest by a Brewers starter since 2008.

He used fastballs, cutters, and even a 92 mph changeup to keep hitters confused. But after a long break in the fifth inning when the Brewers scored five runs, Misiorowski felt cramps in his right leg. While moving back to the mound, he seemed to twist his ankle, and the trainer came out to check on him.After talking with manager Pat Murphy and the medical team, he left the game, and the crowd cheered loudly for him. Misiorowski said later he felt okay and wasn’t too worried.
