Piers Morgan has taken back his harsh remarks about Jake Paul’s boxing career. On August 9, 2025, Morgan posted a long message on X, explaining that he did not mean to accuse Paul of cheating or fixing matches.

This came just days after Paul hired well-known lawyer Alex Spiro to respond to people making such claims. Morgan had earlier called Paul’s career “boring staged bulls***.” Now, he says he was only talking about the type of opponents Paul faced, not that the results were fake. The apology followed legal pressure from Paul’s camp.

Piers Morgan stressed he never meant to say the fights were rigged or illegal. He added that if Jake Paul’s talks with Anthony Joshua are true, it would be a real, credible test against one of the world’s top heavyweights.

Morgan also invited Paul to appear on his talk show Uncensored so they could discuss it face to face.
