November 14 will see Jake Paul fight against Gervonta Davis as part of an exhibition at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The boxing world was quite literally stunned by the announcement of this fight, which was made this weekend.

Paul had called out Davis as well as Anthony Joshua after his win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and it was the Tank who took the bait. While many believed Davis would be going for a rematch against Lamont Roach Jr. after a controversial draw to their fight last year, things have taken a different turn.

How much will the boxers be paid for this fight?

According to Boxing News 24, the payout is for a whopping $40 million. So far, the fight is labeled as an exhibition match, which means flexibility in terms of how much weight Davis can gain for it, who is currently at 135 lb.

Paul, on the other hand, had closed in at 199.4 lbs on the scales for the Chavez fight.

“With the money Gervonta will get from fighting Jake Paul, losing the WBA won’t mean anything. Davis’ estimated purse for the Paul fight is $40 million. It’ll be easy for Davis to reclaim his WBA 135-lb title if he’s stripped. He’s still one of the best fighters in the lightweight division, and could go after that title or the other ones held by Raymond Muratalla or Shakur Stevenson."

Their difference in weight as well as experience will be interesting to see inside the ring. And how both Davis and Paul gear up for it over the upcoming months in prep will surely have the fans even more excited.

Fellow boxers share their opinions on the upcoming fight

From Shakur Stevenson to Teofimo Lopez to Ryan Garcia, a lot of fellow wrestlers have shared their thoughts on this upcoming fight. Garcia was brutal with his comments, saying, "Boxing is officially the WWE with the Gervonta vs JAKE PAUL fight."

While Lopez is thinking of it as an opportunity, and wants in on it.

Stevenson, though, is thinking practically, and said that it will be difficult for Tank to knock out Jake Paul because of their difference in weight. But he also has faith in Tank, saying:"I mean, size will play some part in the fight, but if I'm thinking like I'm Tank, I'm probably just gonna try and go out there and outbox him and use my knowledge and IQ against him. I could see Tank outboxing him and making it look real easy."Fans will have to wait till November 19 to see which of these top boxing stars really comes out on top.
