Jamie Lee Curtis talks about writing a letter
In 1996, Curtis was busy with the filming of her film ‘Fierce Creatures’ when a couple of surprise guests chose to visit the sets. As shared by Variety, the actress had been visited by none other than Princess Diane and her young sons, Prince Harry and William. The actress had been on a bathroom break at the time when the trio visited with security, and was unable to meet them before they left.

Wile the actress had not been expecting to get a prompt reply, she did. She shared that, “Diana wrote back. She was like, ‘Totally get it: Been there, done that.
I admire you too. It’d be nice to meet you someday.”As a year later, the Princess passed away in a tragic accident, the ‘True Lies’ actress recalls sitting in bed in her home with her husband. She shared that rather than watching the live news coverage, she opted to sit with her emotions and instead picked up a book that was gifted to her by a friend. The book was written by meditation guru Jack Kornfield and was written about mindful living, among many other things. She recalled, “I remember sitting there and thinking about Diana’s life, and about her getting out of this b******* marriage; her bravery at the beginning of the AIDS crisis when she reached out to a man with AIDS and put her hand on his leg; her walking through those minefields. Just her beautiful humanness.”
