Jana Sena Party (JSP) president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said that the party will contest elections in Telangana. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad on Tuesday (June 2, 2026), he said that the party has begun its work in the State and will continue to do so. 

“Jana Sena will definitely contest in elections in 2029,” he said. The party president said that he and the party will tour the State, speak on all issues and fight injustices. “Telangana is part of India, don’t forget it,” said Mr. Kalyan. 

Speaking about alliances, Mr. Kalyan said that it is for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to respond and he can’t say if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will partner with JSP.
