Janeshwar Park’s rose garden delighting visitors

Lucknow: Rose Garden at Janeshwar Mishra Park is witnessing a steady flow of visitors, with nature lovers, photographers and families flocking to the sprawling floral attraction known for its wide collection of rose varieties.Spread over 15 acres, the garden houses more than 10,000 rose plants belonging to over 2,200 varieties. Maintained by the Lucknow Development Authority, the garden has become one of the city’s prominent green spaces and a popular destination for residents seeking a break from the urban bustle.Visitors spend time exploring the landscaped sections of the garden and photographing the blooms. Horticulture experts at the park interact with visitors, sharing information on plantation practices, rose cultivation and garden maintenance.Home gardener Aishwarya Agarwal (29) said, “Such initiatives must be set up in other parks too to make people aware about nature and promote its conservation.”Another gardening enthusiast, Raghvendra Singh said it was exciting to see so many varieties of roses and it will help visitors appreciate nature.LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar said the authority is focusing on upkeep of the garden and other green spaces to improve visitors’ experience and promote urban biodiversity.
