Jannik Sinner didn’t just lift the Vienna Open trophy this week: he also cashed in on a massive career milestone.

Sinner made an impressive comeback to defeat Germany’s Alexander Zverev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the Vienna Open final on Sunday, securing his fourth ATP Tour title of the season and his second victory in Austria’s capital.

The Italian, who previously beat Zverev in straight sets at this year’s Australian Open, has now won 21 consecutive matches on indoor hard courts. The 24-year-old has also accumulated 22 tour-level titles and 51 career wins against fellow top-10 players.

The 24-year-old Italian also earned $500,000 and 500 ATP points with his title win, pushing his career prize money total to a staggering $50,460,897.

That makes Sinner only the eighth player in ATP or WTA history to cross the $50 million mark, and the second player born in the 2000s to do so, joining fellow young superstar Carlos Alcaraz, who hit the number after this year’s US Open.

The $50 Million Club (Player Career Earnings So Far):

  1. Novak Djokovic – $191,117,423
  2. Rafael Nadal – $134,946,100
  3. Roger Federer – $130,594,339
  4. Serena Williams – $94,816,730
  5. Andy Murray – $64,687,542
  6. Alexander Zverev – $55,662,085
  7. Carlos Alcaraz – $54,725,285
  8. Jannik Sinner – $50,460,897

Alcaraz Joins the Elite

Sinner’s rival, Alcaraz, hit his own milestone in style earlier this year — with a $5 million US Open payday, taking his career total to $53,486,628. At just 22, the Spaniard is now seventh all-time in career earnings.

De Minaur’s $20 Million Moment

There was another milestone in Vienna too. Alex de Minaur surpassed $20 million in career prize money after his semifinal run, where he fell to Sinner.

The 26-year-old Aussie entered the week with $19.86 million and leaves with $20.19 million, becoming the fifth player born in 1999 or later to reach the mark.
