You can love him or hate him, but you cannot deny Jannik Sinner.

The current World No. 1 Italian dished out an utterly dominant performance in the men’s singles semi-final of Wimbledon 2025 on Friday to sink Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

Sinner secured his maiden Wimbledon finals appearance while denying the legendary Serb his shot at winning a record-breaking 25th career Grand Slam.

But that wasn’t all. En route to his romp of the World No. 6, Sinner also broke a plethora of records, setting up the stage for yet another epic battle with his rival Carlos Alcaraz.

A Historic Streak Before 24

At just 22, Sinner has etched his name in the record books once again. With his appearance in the 2025 Wimbledon final, he becomes the youngest man to reach the final of four consecutive Grand Slam tournaments — a feat no one had accomplished before turning 24.

His finals streak began with the 2024 US Open, followed by a title at the 2025 Australian Open. According to Opta Ace, this achievement breaks the previous world record held by Roger Federer, set in 2006.

Mastery Across All Surfaces

Sinner’s semifinal triumph also placed him among an elite group of players who have managed to defeat Djokovic on all three primary surfaces at the tour level: hard court, clay, and grass. Before him, only Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal had done it — all of whom are Grand Slam champions and former World No. 1s.

The 22-year-old Italian now joins their ranks, further solidifying his status as a complete, all-court player capable of challenging the very best, regardless of the surface.

Finals at Every Slam

In addition to his growing list of accolades, Sinner’s run to the 2025 Wimbledon final marked yet another extraordinary accomplishment. He has now reached the championship match at all four Grand Slam events, becoming only the fifth man in the Open Era to do so.

That exclusive club includes legends Rod Laver, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
