Mythological thriller 'Jatadhara' experienced a significant box office slump on its fourth day, earning just Rs 35 lakh after a decent weekend. Despite a unique premise inspired by the Padmanabhaswamy Temple and a strong antagonist performance, the film's collections dropped sharply, with low occupancy reported for both Telugu and Hindi versions.
After a decent start at the box office, the mythological horror thriller 'Jatadhara' saw a huge drop in its collections on the fourth day. The film, which opened to decent numbers over the weekend, managed to earn only Rs 35 lakh on Monday, as per early estimates.As per a Sacnilk report, the movie collected Rs 1.07 crore on Friday, then replicated that by adding another Rs 1.07 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, it minted Rs 1.25 crore, and later on Monday (the fourth day), it raked in Rs 35 lakh. This brings the total collections to Rs 3.74 crore.
Occupancy for 'Jatadhara'
The movie recorded a modest 13.14% overall occupancy in Telugu on Monday, November 10, 2025. As per reports, the morning shows had 13.62% occupancy, while the afternoon shows were at 14.34%.
Evening shows dipped slightly to 11.27%, and night shows maintained an occupancy of 13.34%.Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film fared even lower, recording an overall occupancy of just 6.70% on the same day. The morning shows saw 8.10% occupancy, followed by 5.66% in the afternoon, 5.97% in the evening, and 7.07% at night.
Plot of the film
Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, starring Sudheer Babu as Shiva and Sonakshi Sinha in her Telugu debut as the antagonist Dhanapisachini. The film is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and is inspired by the myths and mysteries surrounding the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, particularly focusing on the sealed vaults and themes of greed, sacrifice, and spiritual awakening.The movie has received mixed reviews, many praised the unique premise and Sonakshi Sinha's powerful presence as the antagonist. However, the movie seems unable to hold momentum.
