Dhan Pisachani, featured in 'Jatadhara,' is inspired by Hindu mythology’s Pishachas—supernatural female entities often linked to darkness and possessing mystical powers. They are said to have originated from ancient texts and folklore, embodying a balance of divine energy and menace. The character symbolizes this mythological essence in the film.

Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up to portray a groundbreaking character in the film ‘Jatadhara’. She embodies Dhan Pisachani, a mystical figure crafted from the blend of light and darkness, grace and danger.

This mythological fantasy will introduce audiences to a unique persona that balances divinity and threat, unlike anything previously seen in Indian cinema.As reported by News18, Producer Prerna Arora took three-month research and design process for bringing Dhan Pisachani to life. She explained that Dhan is the divine form of energy. Although the directors had an initial idea of how she should look, Prerna visualized her differently.

After several discussions, they agreed on a middle ground that made the character more cinematic and visually magnetic while staying true to her mythological essence.

Almost three months were spent researching her aura, jewellery, and overall design to ensure she embodies both grace and power.In ‘Jatadhara’, the character of Dhan Pisachani draws inspiration from Hindu mythology. It is said that during the Samudra Manthan (Churning of the Ocean), Lord Shiva drank the deadly Halahal poison.

The film is a supernatural thriller releasing on November 7, 2025, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu. It centers on a powerful celestial being guarding a treasure amid dark forces. The movie explores themes of faith and the clash of good and evil, featuring intense action and spiritual drama set against mythological and mystical backdrops.
