Jennifer Aniston isn't afraid to acknowledge that she and her friend Gwyneth Paltrow don't feel the need to ignore the one thing they have in common: their mutual ex, actor Brad Pitt. In the 1990s, Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow were a well-known couple.
They dated from 1994 to 1997 and even got engaged before calling it quits. After that, Brad began dating Jennifer, and the two were married in 2000.
Jennifer's words
In a Vanity Fair interview, Jennifer acknowledged that when she and Gwyneth happen to catch up, they do discuss Brad. "Ironically, I went to her and Brad's engagement party," Jennifer said, dismissing the question during the conversation. "Oh, of course [talk about Brad]. How can we not? We’re girls. We’re always swapping advice—‘What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?’”
Regarding the media's focus on her private life
When Jennifer and Brad split up, around the time he was connected to actress Angelina Jolie, she also talked candidly about the intense media attention that followed her personal life.
"It was such juicy reading for people," she said. "If they didn’t have their soap operas, they had their tabloids. It’s a shame that it had to happen, but it happened. And boy did I take it personally. They were sort of building us up and then tearing you down.”Despite their widely reported marriage and subsequent divorce, the two have remained friends.Regarding her career, Jennifer will appear in the fourth season of the drama series on Apple TV+, which premieres on the streaming service on September 17. Oscar-winning French actor Marion Cotillard will be joining the series this season, and Reese Witherspoon and Mark Duplass will be returning. Marion will portray a new operator named Celine Dumont.
