Ranchi: A delegation of aspirants of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination met governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Thursday, urging him to ensure a fair and transparent investigation into the alleged paper leak case of the exam held in Sept last year for different graduate level jobs in the state govt. The delegation handed over a memorandum to the governor, seeking his intervention to direct an impartial probe and to hold accountable those responsible for the alleged leak.“Through the memorandum, we tried to draw attention to an independent and transparent investigation into the JSSC CGL paper leak case. We also appealed to the governor to intervene on the matter of harassment and mental pressure caused to the whistleblower candidates and teachers of the paper leak case by the CID,” said Rajesh Prasad, a member of the delegation.Prasad said the whistleblowers are being served notices to appear before the CID, although the Jharkhand HC concluded hearings in the matter on Monday and reserved its decision. “The court stated that it will no longer accept any reports or evidence in the matter from any side. Despite that, Kunal Pratap Singh, who has been representing our case at the court, and another teacher, Prakash Poddar, are being repeatedly served notice by CID to appear before them in person.
They already arrested one whistleblower, Santosh Kumar Mastana, on Oct 28,” Prasad said.
