In his domestic violence case, Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward will not face any criminal charges. Thursday, September 18, 2025, the grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas, determined there was no cause for further action.
Court authorities verified the issuance of a "no bill," which denotes the jury did not deem sufficient evidence against him. Later, Ward's attorney, Stephen Jackson, said both he and his client were happy with the result.
Jimmie Ward cleared after Texas grand jury review
According to Montgomery County court records, the case had been under review after Jimmie Ward was accused of domestic violence earlier this year. But on Thursday, the grand jury voted not to indict him.
Jackson explained that they submitted a full packet of evidence to the jury, showing why Ward was “factually innocent.” He added that the district attorney’s office also presented information that supported Ward’s defense. In a statement shared with TMZ Sports, Jackson said, “Today we presented our grand jury packet and evidence to the grand jury to show that Mr. Ward was factually innocent of the allegations against him.
The district attorney also provided information to the grand jury, that we believe, assisted the grand jury in coming to the conclusion that Mr. Ward should be no billed.”
