Ranchi: The Ranchi administration is holding special camps over this weekend to boost mapping ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral roll.The mapping of voters with the SIR exercise held in 2003 was poor across various places in the state capital till June 5, with the figure touching 48%.With the special drive on June 6 and 7, the mapping figure has barely crossed the 50% mark which, according to both the district administration and Election Commission officials, is far below the saturation level of over 78% across the state.Therefore, the district administration is again is organising a special voter mapping camp on Saturday and Sunday.“The special drive for mapping voters is going on in areas where the figures have not reached the saturation level,” state chief electoral officer (CEO), K Ravi Kumar, said on Saturday.“It is the general apathy of urban voters towards electoral processes,” deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said on Saturday.The list of unmapped voters in the state was published on May 23, and according to the EC, they can get themselves mapped till June 15.A total of 14,03,354 voters have been mapped across the state till June 11.
