The latest episode of Monday Night Raw witnessed captivating encounters as narratives intensified after the high-octane Money In The Bank.

Legendary John Cena’s return set in stone a title match with CM Punk at an exciting June 9 episode of the WWE Monday Night Raw. The premiere of Raw on the back of an intense Money In The Bank event brought more layers to the narrative as A-listers Cena, R-Truth and CM Punk all made appearances and fans witnessed a blockbuster World Heavyweight Championship encounter. Here’s how this episode of WWE Raw transpired.

John Cena’s Segment

The show opened with a gripping segment featuring undisputed WWE champion John Cena. Cena addressed the return of R-Truth after he had announced his WWE exit. Despite fans bringing Ron Killings back to the company, Cena claimed he would be forgotten quickly. Just then CM Punk arrived at the ring and following a heated exchange of words, challenged Cena for a title face-off. In response, Cena agreed with the condition that the match would be held at the WWE Night of Champions. Seth Rollins then stormed the scene and reminded the duo that he holds the Money In The Bank contract and can encash it anytime.

Gunther Reclaims Heavyweight Title Vs Jey Uso

The Gunther versus Jey Uso was the main event of the night with the two wrestlers battling it out for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. The rematch from WrestleMania 41 witnessed captivating scenes as the duo landed heavy moves on each other. Gunther and Uso thwarted a series of reversals towards the end. But Gunther eventually came out triumphant after using his strikes and a sleeper hold to force Uso to tap out of the contest.

AJ Styles vs Chad Gable, Sami Zayn, Perez Win King & Queen Of The Ring Openers

In other results, AJ Styles faced up against Chad Gable. The two fierce competitors locked in hard with an eye on victory, delivering some amazing moments for the fans. But the win fell in Styles’ lap after he overcame multiple interferences from his American-made cohorts and smashed Gable with a Styles Clash in a decisive blow.

The WWE Raw then moved to the Queen Of The Ring four-way clash among WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley. All four women gave each other a hard time in the opening round of the tournament, unleashing classic moves. Interestingly, rivals Morgan and Perez worked together on occasions. In the dying moments of the match, Saine jammed an Insane Elbow on Morgan but was later rolled up for the win by Perez.

Dominik Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker and Penta aimed to advance from the first match of the King Of The Ring tournament. A spectacular contest saw fortunes shifting back and forth before Zayn came out on top following chaotic scenes due to an interruption from LA Knight. As Knight attacked Bron Breakker, Zayn took advantage of the situation and delivered a Helluva Kick on Mysterio Junior to seal his victory.
