Joint Sub-Registrar lands in ACB net in Adilabad district

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday trapped Joint Sub-Registrar-II of the Registration and Stamps Department, K. Srinivas Reddy, in Adilabad, while he was allegedly accepting bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour.

According to the ACB sources, the accused officer allegedly demanded bribe from the complainant for registration of gift deed pertaining to the residential house of the complainant’s wife.

Acting on the complaint, the ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught the official ‘red-handed’ while receiving the bribe.

The bribe amount of ₹5,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused officer. He was taken into custody and would be produced before the ACB Court in Karimnagar.
