Belgian legend Eden Hazard was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame on Wednesday in a befitting nod to his legacy in the English top-flight with London side Chelsea.

Former Chelsea boss and skipper Jose Mourinho and John Terry lauded the Belgian on his deserved feat as the two-time PL winner took his place in the roll of honour.

“Hi, Eden, congratulations on becoming the latest player to be inducted into the Hall of fame. You know, I know, everybody knows you belong there," the Portuguese coach said.

“I’m sorry about being a pain in your arse for a few times, I just wanted you to be a better and better and better," Mourinho said.

“Eden, mate, congratulations, you have been inducted into the Hall of Fame which is a fantastic achievement," former Chelsea skipper John Terry said.

“I have a few more pieces of silverware thanks to you. In my opinion, you are Chelsea’s greatest ever player," the former England captains said.

“You want me to cry, man?" a visibly moved Hazard said in response to all the wishes.

“For a little guy from Belgium, it is an honour for me," he added.

During his seven-year tenure with Chelsea, Hazard was involved in 139 goals for the Blues and created more chances than anyone else in that period.

Hazard made a significant impact in the Premier League following his arrival from French club Lille in 2012. He led Chelsea to title victories in the 2014-15 and 2016-17 seasons, in addition to winning the EFL Cup and the FA Cup. He also secured the UEFA Europa League titles in 2012-13 and 2018-19.

Hazard attempted an impressive 1441 dribbles, successfully completing 909 of those signature runs. He was awarded Man of the Match 62 times, ranking him among the top in each category during his time in the English top-flight.

In 2025, Hazard follows Manchester United legend Gary Neville into the Hall of Fame, joining an esteemed group that includes Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Didier Drogba, among others.
