Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a 3-0 start this week. On Thursday night, Sept. 18, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, Allen threw three touchdown passes and helped beat the Miami Dolphins 31-21.

In an earlier game at MetLife Stadium, Allen left briefly with a bloody nose after a hit on a designed run but came right back. Fans and writers say his toughness shows he can carry Buffalo to a Super Bowl one day.

Josh Allen plays through bloody nose to keep Buffalo Bills unbeaten

Josh Allen was hit in the face late in the first quarter of the Week 2 game at MetLife Stadium and left for one play with a bloody nose. He returned with his nose taped and kept playing.

On Thursday night vs. Miami, Allen completed 22 of 28 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns.

He also hit Khalil Shakir with a go-ahead 15-yard touchdown. The Bills ran well, too. James Cook had a big game on the ground. These plays kept Buffalo in control and moved the team to 3-0.

Josh Allen praised by Ian O’Connor as quarterback destined for Super Bowl win

Ian O’Connor of The Athletic wrote that Allen is “too good and too tough” not to win a Super Bowl. O’Connor pointed to Allen’s blend of arm and running skills and his work this season. The Athletic noted Allen reached a big career mark, fastest to 300 total touchdowns (regular season plus playoffs), and is still only 29. Josh Allen himself kept it simple after the games, saying about the nose, “We can breathe, so it’s good.” Writers say those moments show why Buffalo’s Super Bowl window looks real.
