Relatives. This word sends a chill down the spine to many. Especially when it’s a holiday or festive time. One seldom finds a cheerleading team amongst their relatives. But there’s someone from the New York Jets who’s found it! Rookie tight end and son of the Miami Dolphins legend Jason Taylor, Mason, has found a cheerleader in his aunt and sports commentator, Joy Taylor! In her recent Instagram stories, the 38-year-old television personality shared a repost of the official X account of the Jets’ post on “All Angles of Mason Taylor’s TD.

” It was his first receiving touchdown, and a celebration ensued. To everyone who holds their breath at the sound of “relatives,” surprise: his aunt celebrated it on a 24-hour-long feature on Instagram!

Sports commentator Joy Taylor celebrates nephew Mason Taylor’s first receiving touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals

A load of seven losses. A tough battle. A game-winning moment. Whose to decide that play? Well, that was Joy Taylor’s nephew and rookie tight end Mason Taylor! The first victory of the 2025 season, after losing seven battles, was achieved by the 21-year-old LSU Tigers alumnus.

With 1 minute and 54 seconds left on the clock, Jets running back Breece Hall rushed for two second-half touchdowns and then instantly decided to throw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Mason Taylor—it helped them win by a point over the Bengals (39-38)! This game-winning touchdown became a sensation for the Jets.

It was their first victory after all. But for the rookie’s aunt? It became a whole new level of occasion! After sharing many Instagram Stories, one of which featured the sports commentator stating that she is too accessible (we’ll discuss that later), she shared “All Angles of Mason Taylor’s TD.” Check this out:

Joy Taylor on accessibility, boundaries, disrespect, and protecting energy

The former FOX Sports host shared on her recent episode of "Two Personal" that many people in her life have told her she’s too accessible and struggles with boundaries.

However, this trait of hers has recently caused a significant amount of problems. And so now, she’s trying to figure out how to protect her energy. “I have been confronted by a few people who are really close to me with a note that I have gotten in for most of my life,” Joy Taylor shared. “It’s about being too accessible. It’s something that I have definitely struggled with for my entire life. One, because it’s part of my personality.

I like to laugh. I like to connect with people. I like to have conversations. And I kind of open myself up to people very quickly because I don’t like to spend time in awkward situations.

“For most of my life, I’ve been very, very bad with boundaries,” Taylor said. “I don’t really let people do the work to earn my trust. If I feel a good energy with someone, I kind of just move too fast with people. And this is not exclusive to dating; this is in business; this is in friendships.”“I have been thinking a lot about it over the past few weeks because I’ve been getting frustrated just dealing with what I deem as disrespect,” Taylor said. “It’s been really dangerous for me. It’s caused me a lot of problems over the course of my life. And I’m just trying to figure out how to be more protective with my energy without having to change my entire personality.”Also Read: Miami Dolphins star Jason Taylor captured in Coldplay kiss cam incident with his wife Monica on live TV
