Jubilee Hills bypoll: Observers urge candidates to follow ECI guidelines, second round of EVM randomisation completed

Election officials overseeing the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency byelection have reiterated that all candidates must conduct their campaigns in accordance with the guidelines and rules laid down by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

At a meeting held on Wednesday (October 29) at the Returning Officer’s office, General Election Observer Ranjit Kumar Singh and Police Observer Om Prakash Tripathi instructed contesting candidates to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct. They highlighted that every rupee spent on campaigning must be properly documented and declared to the Election Commission within the prescribed time.

On the same day, as part of the poll preparations, the second round of randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was carried out at the Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Stadium. The process was conducted in a transparent and systematic manner in the presence of the general observer, police observer and the Expenditure Observer Sanjeev Kumar Lal along with representatives of political parties and agents of contesting candidates.
