'Jurassic World: Rebirth' continues its box office journey with a steady performance in its second week. According to the Sacnilk website, on Day 14, the sci-fi action spectacle added Rs 1.25 crore (early estimates) to its India net total, pushing its two-week cumulative collection to an estimated Rs 80.06 crore.

Second week sees predictable dips, but still stable

After a roaring start with a Rs 56.25 crore week 1, the film entered its second week with expected dips. However, its Saturday and Sunday rebound helped keep momentum, with Day 9 and 10 collections hitting Rs 7.35 crore and Rs 7.8 crore respectively. Mid-week declines followed, with Monday to Thursday contributing a modest Rs 5.56 crore.

3D still preferred, Chennai and Mumbai key drivers

On Day 14, English 3D occupancy touched 11.81%, with Chennai leading at 20.25%, and Mumbai and NCR maintaining solid double-digit figures.

Tamil versions also performed well with 14.18% occupancy overall, especially in regional pockets like Vellore (a massive 40.75%) and Trichy (21.75%). Hindi 3D saw average turnout at 9.51%, while Hindi 2D showed weaker traction.

With dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the movie’s wide reach has boosted its pan-India box office footprint.

Our verdict

ETimes gave the Scarlett Johansson starrer a rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 and our review hailed the stunning visuals captured by John Mathieson. An excerpt from ETimes review reads, "Narratively, the film hints at deeper questions around playing God with nature and the moral cost of human ambition, but these threads are never fully explored." With decent reviews and good traction from the Indian audiences, ''Jurassic World: Rebirth' is expected to have a good continued run in cinemas.

Another advantage is that there are no major regional releases soon as well.
