Celebrating the spirit of International Women’s Day, Times Entertainment’s Power Creator Awards – Women’s Edition will be held in Mumbai on March 9. Ahead of the ceremony, the awards jury recently convened for a brainstorming session to deliberate and select the Jury Choice winners.

The jury panel features Divya Dutta, Anup Soni, Shweta Tripathi and Rasika Dugal.Sharing her experience, Divya Dutta described it as “truly fantabulous” to serve as a jury member for such prestigious awards. She stated, “At first, it felt a little outside my comfort zone, as many of the categories were far beyond my own area of work. But once I dived deep into the process, it became incredibly engaging to explore the worlds of these creators and witness the passion and innovation with which they approach their craft.

For Anup Soni, reviewing close to 100 profiles was both inspiring and humbling. He said, “Each story reflected determination, creativity and a strong sense of purpose. What I particularly enjoyed were the jury discussions, and hearing different viewpoints made the process richer and more insightful. It is wonderful to see platforms like the Power Creator Awards celebrating women who are shaping conversations and communities in such meaningful ways.

Rasika Dugal called her jury experience “pure joy,” saying it offered her a glimpse into the many ways women across the country are finding their voice and expressing themselves. She remarked, “Through this process, I was so happy to be introduced to some really fun women - women who are dancing with abandon, women who are rapping with intelligence and humour and women who have the ability to crack up a room full of people with their sharp wit.

” Speaking of her favourite category, she added, “'Breaking the bias' was one of my most favourite categories. I was so moved. Not just by the courage it takes to challenge what is expected, but by the imagination and honesty with which these women were doing it. I am so inspired.”Reflecting on the jury meet and her interactions with co-panelists, Shweta Tripathi said, “To witness so many creators through the jury process was a reminder that creation is really a reflection of who we are.

Our stories, our beliefs, and our questions all find their way into what we make. In a time when so many voices are finding space, creation becomes not just content but a deeply personal form of expression.”In addition to the Jury Choice honours, Popular Choice awards will also be presented to winners chosen via public voting.
