Justin Baldoni vs Blake Lively: Director adds Sean 'Diddy' Combs' lawyer to legal team amid 'It Ends With Us' lawsuit

Actor and director Justin Baldoni is going all out in his upcoming legal battle with actress Blake Lively. According to the latest reports, he has strengthened his legal team in the ongoing lawsuit, by hiring high-profile attorney Alexandra A.E.

Shapiro, best known for representing music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, according to People.

Shapiro, who represented Diddy in his recent sex trafficking trial that has been in the headlines these past months, formally joined Baldoni’s legal defence last week by filing a notice of appearance in court. She will work alongside Baldoni’s existing counsel, including Bryan Freedman.Shapiro's legal expertise, got the rapper acquitted of sex trafficking charges.

However, he was found guilty of prostitution charges.

Development in the Blake and Baldoni lawsuit

The development comes shortly after the court ruled that singer Taylor Swift, a close friend of Lively, would not be required to sit for a deposition in the case.Baldoni, has been embroiled in the legal dispute with Lively for nearly a year. The actress filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni and his colleagues at Wayfarer Studios of sexual harassment and retaliation during the production of It Ends With Us. Baldoni has denied all allegations.The director had filed a $400 million countersuit for defamation and extortion; however, it was dismissed in June.The next court hearing is scheduled for October 21, with the trial scheduled for March 2026.
