Miguel A Nunez Jr is ready to bring back one of basketball’s most talked-about comedies, Juwanna Mann. The actor revealed that a sequel to the 2002 hit is still in the works, and he wants two of the biggest WNBA stars, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, to be part of it.

The 60-year-old actor told TMZ Sports that the timing couldn’t be better for Juwanna Mann 2, especially now that women’s basketball is more popular than ever.Juwanna Mann was a 2002 sports comedy-drama about a male basketball star who, after being suspended, disguises himself as a woman to play in a women’s basketball league. The movie starred Miguel A. Nunez Jr., Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Pollak, and Kim Wayans. Directed by Jesse Vaughan, it gained recognition for its blend of humour and a distinctive perspective on sports and identity.

Now, more than two decades later, Miguel A Nunez Jr believes it’s the perfect time to revisit the story. “The first one was ahead of its time,” he said. With the WNBA experiencing a surge in viewership and cultural impact, the actor believes a sequel could resonate with both longtime fans and a new generation.

He also shared a playful idea for the storyline featuring Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, two of the most famous faces in women’s basketball today.

“I’d beat Caitlin’s ass and marry Angel Reese,” Nunez joked, hinting at possible on-screen drama. Nunez also confirmed that some original cast members and even NBA star Seth Curry could return for the sequel.
