A short BTS video clip going viral online appeared to be from a live-action remake of the hit movie leaving fans puzzled, as there was no official announcement about a film being in production.
The 35-second clip, which surfaced online, spread across TikTok and YouTube, amassing over Millions of views. It showed actors in full costume and makeup, preparing for a shoot alongside production staff. Viewers were stunned at how closely the supposed cast resembled the animated characters — Rumi, Zoey, and Mira of the girl group HUNTR/X, and Mystery, Abby, Jinu, Baby, and Romance from the boy group Saja Boys.

However, fans were soon left disappointed when the video was traced back to YouTube channel Fantasoner, known for creating hyper-realistic AI-generated footage.
While some fans praised the quality, others voiced concerns.

The frenzy comes as K-Pop Demon Hunters continues its unprecedented success. Since its June 20 release, the animated fantasy musical has drawn more than 314.2 million views, making it Netflix’s first title to surpass 300 million views. The film has held the No. 1 global position for 13 consecutive weeks.With its popularity, the film is now set to unleash a franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony and Netflix are in talks for a sequel, with directors Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang expected to return.
While the follow-up will not be a full prequel, it is expected to expand the backstory of the HUNTR/X trio. A third instalment is also reportedly in development. While no details have been revealed, a stage adaptation and even a potential live-action project is rumoured to be on the cards.
