Kaikalur Treasury Department employee in ACB net

Officials of the Eluru Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday caught Kulukuluri Hanumantha Rao alias Anjaneyulu, senior assistant in the Kaikalur Treasury Department, while allegedly taking ₹20,000 as bribe. The accused demanded ₹55,000 from a retired Revenue Department employee for processing his medical leave and pension files to the higher officials, the ACB officials said in a press release.

Acting on a complaint, the ACB officials caught Mr. Hanumantha Rao red-handed while taking the first instalment of the bribe at his office in Kaikalur in Eluru district. He was arrested and would be produced at the ACB special court in Rajahmundry, the investigation officers said.
