‘Kalyana Mahotsavam’ celebrated at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple

Religious fervour marked the annual Brahmotsavams celebrations of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Mangalagiri in Guntur district. As part of the festivities, the celestial ‘Kalyana Mahotsavam’ of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy was conducted in a grand manner at the temple’s Utsava Mandapam on Monday midnight.

Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh and his wife, Nara Brahmani, participated in the ceremony and offered ‘silk vastrams’ to the presiding deity on behalf of the State government.

Amid Vedic chants and traditional ‘Mangala Vadyams’, the Minister and his wife witnessed the divine wedding ceremony of the Lord and received special blessings from the temple priests. Earlier, upon their arrival at the temple premises, they were accorded a warm welcome by temple authorities, members of the trust board, and local leaders.

A large number of devotees thronged the temple to witness the celestial wedding ceremony.

Among those present on the occasion were Padmashali Welfare and Development Corporation Chairman Nandam Abaddayya, APMSSIDC Chairman Chillapalli Srinivasa Rao, and TTD board member Tammishetti Janaki Devi, and other dignitaries.
