Rukmini Vasanth shared pictures of herself learning horse-riding for the role. One of the images showed her listening to what director Rishab Shetty had to say before the scene. She also offered a glimpse of short snack breaks in between the shoot and a sketched version of Jayaram's King Rajashekara.She captioned the post, "Becoming Kanakavathi ." Soon, fans poured in love in the comment section of the post. A person posted, "So much of preparation and dedication to get into the character! Amazing." Another one added, "Massive congratulations! You were amazing!!!" A comment read, "Congratulations for the huge success; you also did the best job."

The makers of 'Kantara: Chapter 1' recently announced that the film will be released in English as well for the worldwide audience. Currently, the movie has crossed the Rs 800 crore mark at the global box office. The English-dubbed version will hit theatres on October 31, 2025. With that, the producers are planning to submit the film for Oscar consideration.Apart from Rishab Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth, the film also features Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah. It also featured Pramod Shetty, Rakesh Poojari, Prakash Thuminad, and Deepak Rai Panaje, among others.
