KJo then went on to draw a powerful parallel with another recent blockbuster from Hindi cinema. He said that two newcomers delivered the "biggest hit" in Hindi this year with 'Saiyaara'. He added, "Woh superstars nahin the; ab superstars ban gaye hain. (They weren't superstars; now they have become superstars.)" Johar further stated that the first-day collection of the film made it clear that it is going to rule the box office.

Karan Johar concluded by explaining that it is a symbiotic relationship. "We all love our stars. We respect them, as they work very hard. So it's a mix of both." He mentioned that stardom is also needed for a movie, and the story also matters. The filmmaker stated that 'Mirai' is a package of both.
