Karnataka rains: Holiday for schools in Shivamogga, Hosanagara taluks

Following heavy rains throughout the night on Thursday (July 4, 2025) , the taluk administration of Shivamogga and Hosanagara taluks have declared a holiday for schools on Friday (July 4, 2025).

Shivamogga taluk administration, on Friday morning, issued a communique to schools declaring a holiday. By then, a few students were already on the way to school and many were waiting for school buses to pick them up. The school authorities called up parents over the phone and informed them about administration’s decision. The announcement applied to all anganwadi centres, primary schools and high schools, the release said.

Similarly, taluk administration of Hosanagara taluk has also declared a holiday for schools, colleges and anganwadi centres in the taluk.
