COVID-19 deaths rose to six in Karnataka with two more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. One of them did not have any comorbidities.
Two fully vaccinated male SARI patients — a 42-year-old from Bengaluru and 65-year-old from Udupi — were admitted with fever, breathlessness and cough in private hospitals on May 26 and May 30 respectively.
While the 42-year-old died of septic shock secondary to ileal obstruction and respiratory failure on May 31, the other person also died of septic shock secondary to bacterial sepsis and acute kidney disease on June 2.
As many as 153 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases to 324 on Wednesday. Of these, seven are being treated in hospitals.
