Search operations to capture an elusive tiger that has been attacking livestock in Kallura, Heggottara, and surrounding villages of Chamarajanagar district continued without any sighting of the big cat.

Forest officials launched the operation following reports of cattle being killed over the past 15 days. The combing team, assisted by tamed elephants Srirama and Indra, searched forest fringes and other vulnerable locations in the affected villages, including Deshigowdanapura. However, no fresh pugmarks or signs of the tiger’s movement were found.

According to a press release issued by the Forest Department, the search operation will continue with the help of the elephants and ground staff.
