A woman stormed into a wedding hall in Karnataka’s Chitradurga and halted her husband's secret second marriage in a dramatic confrontation.

The incident took place at Gayatri Kalyana Mantapa, where Karthik Naik, a resident of Tippaghatta in Arasikere, was preparing to tie the knot with another woman, despite already being married.

Tanuja, his wife from Mushenala in Davanagere district, barged into the wedding venue along with her family and confronted Karthik. Accusing him of trying to remarry for dowry, Tanuja reportedly pulled out a slipper and slapped him across the face.

The incident took place at Sri Adichunchanagiri Kalyana Mantapa, where Pallavi, a postgraduate, was set to marry Venugopal G, a government school teacher. As the rituals neared the crucial stage of tying the mangalsutra, Pallavi reportedly received a phone call, locked herself in a room, and refused to continue with the ceremony.

She later informed her family that she was in love with someone else and could not go ahead with the wedding. Despite emotional pleas from relatives and intervention by local police, Pallavi stood her ground. The groom eventually backed out too, saying he did not want to marry someone who was unwilling.
