In a recent promo, Krushna Abhishek also shares a funny behind-the-scenes story about how he first met his comedy partner, Sudesh Lehri, with whom he has worked for more than ten years.
The promo begins with a question from the audience about Krushna’s journey with Sudesh Lehri. Krushna recalls, “Shooting se ek din pehle mere saath joh stand up tha woh chodke bhaag gaya.” (The day before the shoot, the stand-up comedian who was supposed to work with me ran away.
)
Sunil Grover interrupts, adding humorously, “Usne ye nahi kaha ki inko nikalo, khud bhag gaya. Matalb itna upset ho gaya woh.” (He didn’t tell them to kick you out; he ran away himself.
He was so upset.) The audience and Big B burst into laughter. Sunil further jokes, “Usne pehle uski Naukri choddi.” (First, he quit his job.) Then, taking a playful dig at Krushna, he says, “Woh kaun hai woh batane toh do,” revealing the person’s name as Sanket Suchak, which once again had the audience roaring with laughter.Continuing his story, Krushna says, “Sudesh ji ke saath ek bohot bade actor the aur unka unke saath jhadga ho gaya aur unhone unko chod diya. Toh bole Krushna ka partner bhaag daya hai, Sudhesh ji ka partner bhag gaya hai. Krushna Sudhesh ki jodi bana de. Toh aise humari jodi bani.” (There was a big actor working with Sudesh ji, and after a fight, he left. They said my partner ran away, Sudesh ji’s partner ran away, so Krushna paired up with Sudesh.
That’s how our duo was formed.) Amitabh Bachchan applauded the story, and the audience was amazed to hear about their journey.
